How do I get email alerts when new discussions have been started?

I can't find any way to set up email alerts for when stuff happens on our company's tender app.

   Once you're logged in as a user for your site, click your name in the header, then click Edit Your Profile. On that page, you will see notification options. Please be careful when signing up for notifications, as if you sign up for everything you may receive a LOT of emails. Use the same notifications form to unsubscribe from any thing you wish to no longer receive.
