Incorrect quoting in a code snippet
Hi,
In a KB article, I have a bit of code enclosed in triple-tick marks (or triple-at signs, it doesn't matter). A right angle bracket is rendered as ">".
See the bottom of this article: https://porticor.tenderapp.com/kb/getting-started/setting-up-a-porticor-appliance-in-amazon-vpc
Thanks!

Hey Yaron,
Code blocks need to be surrounded by new lines. I fixed your Markdown.
For big edits, I recommend using a dedicated Markdown editor like http://www.mdcharm.com or http://sourceforge.net/projects/retext/.
You can also look at this article I wrote: How To Make Markdown Awesome. It's Mac oriented, but if you're tech savvy, it's easy to apply to Linux.

Thanks Julien! Just for the record, ReText doesn't require the new line
- just tried it. Life would be much easier if there was a Markdown standard!

I agree with you. There are many "flavors" or Markdown out there, especially when it comes to extensions to the language. But it's usually pretty easy to get code that works everywhere once you know the most common quirks. Using a good Markdown editor and integrating it in your browser helps a lot: I even write all my emails this way :)
Cheers!
