Copy-paste not working on iOS

I use Tender on an iPad. I often need to reply to support requests by pasting a URL into the reply text box. This stopped working a while ago. When long-tapping in the text box, it only shows options for Select and Select All, but not Paste. This is very unusual and I've not seen that happen on any other website. It works neither in the full nor in the (useless on iPad) mobile site.

    Hey Richard,

This is indeed unusual. What is your iPad model and iOS version? I'll see if we can reproduce.

Also, you can switch back to the full site when in mobile view by clicking the "Full site" link at the bottom of the screen. This should hold for the session.

Julien, I did some more testing and this turns out to be not a Tender issue but a system-wide issue. I observe it on two different iOS 8.1 devices (iPad Retina and iPhone 5).

To reproduce the issue, copy a URL in Safari using the Copy option from the Share menu (square with upward arrow). This URL cannot be pasted into any Safari text input. But it can be pasted into other text widgets, say, Mail.

I also found a decent workaround. I copy the URL by tapping into the URL bar, Select All, Copy. Now it can be pasted.

Thanks, and sorry for raising an issue before testing thoroughly!

    Richard -

Glad you've got a workaround! Thanks for letting us know.
