generate one by sanitizing the email. This would turn
<code>rick@entp.com</code> to <code>rick (anonymous)</code>. We
agreed when people started complaining about it, so we yanked it.
The thing is, any existing names with that (anonymous) tag are
still there. I guess I assumed people would have updated them or
something.</p>
<p>You can set the name from Shopify actually. There's a newer
url-based multipass method for sending an encrypted JSON hash, or
you can specify a tender_name cookie. See the <a href=
"https://help.tenderapp.com/faqs/setup-installation/login-from-cookies">
updated FAQ on this</a>. If you are still using cookies, be sure to
add the tender_name value to the hashed string. Let me know if you
need help with that.</p>
<p>FWIW: I looked up the specific user and found that every one of
their discussions was attached to their user profile. I just ran a
job that removed the <code>(anonymous)</code> bit to every user
name that still had them, so the user won't see them anymore.</p></div>rick
