<p>Thanks for such a quick reply and the information.</p>
<p>I think we worked out a solution, so we won't need to add the
watcher directly to the conversation. The watcher is an internal
employee, so we are going to send a comment to the discussion as
that person so they will be added to the discussion.</p>

<p>Another way around would be to add the discussion to a special
queue. Supporters can subscribe to queues and get added as watchers
automatically in that case.</p>
