In my previous suggestion, I forgot to fill in the spam protection before submitting and it went to a page with just the error, didn't show the form again, and when I went back, my input was lost.
Part of it may be because #new_topic_form was collapsed again. I am not sure if I clicked New Topic again right away (I was too busy being pissed my input was gone), but even if it was, this isn't intuitive, especially for non-websavvy users who don't know what collapsed DIVs are.
On Safari 3.2.1.
Thanks, Ken

Eek, I was sure I tested this... what URL did this happen on? There are at least 2 spots where you can create a new discussion.

It works fine for me, but I'm assuming hitting back isn't working for some browsers. I'll just change it to render the filled-out form then.

Submitting a discussion update without a captcha now re-renders the form (see attached).
