ACS comments
With regard to the comments requested as to the proposed content questions on the ACS, the marriage questions, should be revamped to where the person says "married" it would only ask if within the last year as a part b of the same question and the same for Widowed. You can still ask if he/she had been divorced in the past year as a separate question. This would avoid a lot of the awkwardness.
