Top "search" doesn't include knowledge base.
I just tried to search for the contents of one of my knowledge base articles using the top search bar and got no results. The top search bar should (in my opinion) search both discussions and knowledge base articles. I want my users to find the best help available, not just the best discussions.

This will come when we move to a decent search index like sphinx and we can index both models together.

Just another note that hardly anyone knows that the two search boxes search different sources. How about inlining the results from both on the same page (even if they're in different lists), or at least noting on the results page that only discussions or KB articles were was searched, plus a link to use the same query against the one that wasn't searched? Even that would be a huge improvement. Thanks!

Yep, the end plan is definitely to combine the two results, most likely with the Knowledge Base articles more prominent (as they should hopefully be a source of more coherent, researched information).

This is due before 10 Feb. However, it's going into staging today, so we should have better search in this week :)
