It's driving me crazy
For weeks our Design queue has shown:
x discussions in your queue (1 hidden)
http://support.myshopify.com/dashboard/queues/1620-design
Can you delete the '(1 hidden)' text since it is false anyway? There's no hidden discussion and it's driving me crazy to see this text day in day out.

We're going to take a look as to why the counter is incorrect. It doesn't appear that there is actually a hidden discussion unless it's counting some weird edit case issue where a discussion has been deleted.

I fixed the issue for that queue, and we'll roll out a fix so that it doesn't happen again.
Basically, a discussion got marked as spam while in a queue.
