Adding a watcher to a private discussion

Hello,

Often times we need to add someone to a private discussion that is not part of the support team. I thought the "watcher" functionality would allow this but each time I add a watcher to a private discussion that is not part of the support staff, they say that they cannot see the discussion. Am I missing something?

Best,
George

    Hi George,

You're not missing anything, that's how it should work. Do you have a recent example that I can look at?

    Thanks.

    Here is an example:

So if that is how it should work ... or rather not work ;) how do I add someone to a private discussion? Or rather, how do I show someone a private discussion ... I don't need them to actually participate.

    Hi George,

Once you add someone to a private discussion, they start receiving new comments. In that discussion, [email blocked] did receive Jessica's comment in an email, with a link to the discussion.

Since this user is anonymous, ie he doesn't have an account on your Tender, the link included a special token that allows him to view the discussion. So by clicking on the link in the notification email he received, he should be able to see the discussion.

Ah so if I understand correctly, he can see the entire discussion? Should I tell him to create a Tender account?

He should be able to see the entire discussion. He doesn't need to create a Tender account.
