Image 404s on KB page(s)
Hi all,
We're using uploaded images from the image drawer in http://help.papertrailapp.com/kb/how-it-works/event-viewer and they very recently started serving 404s (like maybe today). That page hasn't changed in over a week and they were found yesterday or the day before. Right now all of them are broken and I get a 404 when I view the page source and visit the image source URL.
Thanks,
Troy

Troy,
The images are displaying for me in firefox. Can you take a screenshot of what you are seeing on your end?

No joke, they started working basically concurrently with when I posted this. They weren't for at least 10 minutes before. Exact same unedited KB articles and I believe even the same paths (the image paths don't autocomplete and didn't create browser history entries, so I can't be sure).

Suuuuure they did Troy, sure they did.
Just kidding. Please let us know if this happens again and we will continue to troubleshoot.

Thanks ;-) Could you see whether you see any static image requests ending in 404 with our
help
hostname or our tenderapp hostname? It would have been shortly before I opened this ticket. They hit a web server and served a response, just not the file. Thanks,
Troy

Hi Troy,
I couldn't find more information in our logs. We did fix a bug yesterday that prevented images from showing on a private site with a public KB for anonymous users, but that's it.
It seems to be working now, so just ping us if anything strange happens again.
Cheers!
