Discussion awaiting moderation, why? and how is the staff notified?
Hello,
I set up a private tenderapp site (where users must be invited).
When testing it with a such a user (ie not member of the staff) he got the following info after posting a question:
"That discussion is awaiting moderation."
Staff members are not notified, neither can I see anything in the admin part of the tender about moderation
So my question are:
why is the thread beeing moderated? is it possible to configure this private tenderapp to have no moderation?
how should the staff be notified that a thread is waiting for moderation?
thks,
christophe

Christophe-
What user is this happening with? It could be that they accepted the invitation and created their user profile but they didn't activate it yet. That is the only time, aside from being anonymous, that message should be seen.
It's not a real moderation, it's just a delay on anonymous or unactivated accounts so there is no need to notify staff. If the message is determined to be spam it will be in your spam inbox and if not it will become a new discussion.
Let us know the user and I can check on whether they were activated or not.
Thanks,
Nicole

Thanks Nicole,
In fact I finally get the messages send by 2 of such new users. The point
in fact is that I received both those initial posts after approximately
3.5h
So I guessed that the message appearing for those users on the tender was
due to some check done by the tender (and not a real moderation). May be
you should modify this message as "waiting for checking", rather "waiting
for moderation")...
Do you know if there is a reason for this 3.5 hours delay?
BTW, I observed the same delay for receiving the mail acknowledgement for
my initial post on your support tender for tender, and on our other
tender. According to my mail server logs, it received no email from
tenderapp yesterday between 11:14 and 17:53 (paris time)

Christophe -
Well, the time delay, if the discussions were created yesterday, were due to some mail server issues happening with Tender. If shouldn't take that long normally.
Mail servers are back up and behaving as expected today so if a new user creates a discussion today and it takes 3.5h to go through then let us know and we'll look into it for you.
Thanks,
Nicole
