Email forwarding not showing the original sender

Hi

I'm attempting to forward emails I receive on to Tender so they create an issue inside Tender. They get to Tender but they always have my name/details as the sender so when I reply the original sender doesn't receive anything.

Am I right in thinking that the forwarding function is supposed to strip out the original email address when we forward it?

I'm not doing anything particularly clever - just hitting forward in the latest version of Mail.app and forwarding on to the Tender address.

I agree, is there a workaround for this, I think this will be extremely useful and I'm shocked it has not been implemented yet.

If we plan on switching to tender, during the transition period we are obviously still going to get emails going to our personal mailboxes. Forwarding to the tender email address and it recognizing that it was a forward and uses original author as the thread author.

We've had this implemented for months, but it depends on a couple factors:

    1. Tender has to be able to identify the email as a Forward. Sometimes email clients use odd formats, since forwarding isn't really a standard.
    2. The sender (the user forwarding) has to be a support user of the site. Unfortunately, this means it won't work if I forward a message from my personal gmail account, and not my company @entp.com account.

Simon: Would you mind letting me know what email wasn't processed correctly? I can let you know why Tender failed. Start a new private thread if necessary too...
