Hi Tender folk!

When I'm using the Echo function, any HTML code is being 'echoed' incorrectly.

In the echo template, I've got the following:

Link text

And when I used the template in a discussion, this is the outcome in the discussion field:

<a href="url">Link text</a>

Could I please ask if this is inevitable, or if there's some way I can successfully use HTML in the Echo function?

Thanks for your help!

Well, discussion bodies don't support html. Since a canned reply is just pre-filling text into the textarea for you, you'd want to use the same form (markdown, see "formatting help" link below this comment field) for formatting.
