Moving messages between threads
Hi,
Is it possible to split multiple messages into another thread, i.e., I'd like to extract a sub-thread as stand-along subject?
Is it possible to move messages between threads after the fact?
Yours,
- Kalle

Kalle,
You can split a discussion. If you look at a thread with multiple replies you should see the "split" link between the "edit" and "remove" links. You can't currently merge a discussion but it is something we are actively thinking about how to implement.

Amanda,
If I click on the link "split", I think it only splits out that specific
message. Is this correct? I'd like to split that message and all
following messages into a new thread. I guess it would be sweet to be
able to choose the messages to be split, but the UI for that could end
up being overtly complex.

Kalle,
Correct, it only splits out that comment. I can file a ticket for your request. No promises we'd implement it, but the devs could at least discuss it.

Filing a ticket would be nice, thanks.
I think it would be sufficient if there were a mechanism to move and
copy messages between threads. I could then split the first message and
then choose which following messages are copied/moved into the newly
created thread.
