Wish: in emails to agents, use .tenderapp.com URLs
Hi Julien and everyone,
I have 1 feature idea/wish because I run into it all the time -
literally 5 or 10 times a day. Our Tender uses SSO and a custom domain,
and The Slack updates we get use links like this:
https://our.tenderapp.com/discussions/email/2237#comment_8342432
They work great for agents. However, the email updates to agents use the
non-custom domain, like:
http://some.domain.com/discussions/questions/1234-abc
Clicking that for private tickets goes to a "This discussion is private"
page with a link to do the login dance. This happens every time, since
there's no authenticated session cookie presented under the real
hostname (a good thing, since it's not using SSL).
Would it be possible to make email footers in emails to agents use the
same `.tenderapp.com` URL that Slack updates do, instead of the
always-anonymous custom hostname? The agent-facing footer is already
custom anyway, in that it has the "You can use commands on a new line"
instructions.
Thanks,
Troy

Troy -
Julien no longer works with us, but we'll take a look at this and see if it is something we can add to the development queue. I'll update you when we have more information.
Thanks,
Nicole

Some days I click this link literally a hundred times a day. Among all the smaller possible improvements that I wish Tender had, this is easily the biggest one.
A lot of the value of agent-facing email updates is removed because I know that, if I click the link to go to the ticket, it'll open a tab that doesn't mean anything (the private "Login to see this" page). My email workflow often includes clicking links from 5 or 10 ticket emails, and once I do, I'm left with 5 or 10 indistinguishable tabs that I need to click Login on :/
