Discussions sometimes reappear in pending queue for no discernible reason
Hi guys,
Infrequently, a discussion will appear in the pending queue even though it hasn't been replied to in ages. The latest example is https://anki.tenderapp.com/discussions/add-ons/6818-multiple-choice, which I will avoid touching until you have a chance to look at it. Any ideas?
Cheers,
Damien

Not sure if it's related, but sometimes a discussion that has been deleted sticks around in the pending queue: https://anki.tenderapp.com/discussions/ankidesktop/24430-english

Was the comment in the spam bin and was restored? I do show the comment as having an 'updated' flag of 8-2-2017 which means something touched it, but the most likely thing is a bulk restore of the spam box by someone on your site.

Recently I'm the only one handling support, and I either delete or restore all messages in the spam folder on pretty much a daily basis, so I'm afraid it wouldn't explain what happened in the old ticket case. I don't recall if the latter message had been in the spam folder or not.

Could it be something related to user accounts? If I recall correctly I've sometimes seen more than one message from a single user reappear in pending.

Something has to trigger the message to return to pending - some user action (automated actions all leave a trail)

Whatever is causing it, I'd appreciate it if you could make it stop :-) Please let me know when it's ok for me to acknowledge the tickets above.

They're a little too old for me to get into the webserver logs to trace actions, all I can see is that they were updated by 'some' action. I am aware of it happening previously, just have never been able to find what that action is that triggers it.

You can acknowledge them, let me know when it happens again and I'll jump right on it immediately.

Your response times have been terrible lately guys - what is going on?

Hi Damien,
Apologies that your last reply fell through the cracks. I'm going to bump this to our dev and hopefully get this sorted for you today or tomorrow.
Thanks,
Brandi

Hi Brandi,
Half of my recent interactions with you guys have involved waits of around a week or more:
13 days: https://help.tenderapp.com/discussions/problems/79097-discussions-sometimes-reappear-in-pending-queue-for-no-discernible-reason#comment_43501022
7 days: https://help.tenderapp.com/discussions/problems/79097-discussions-sometimes-reappear-in-pending-queue-for-no-discernible-reason
6 days: https://help.tenderapp.com/discussions/problems/79231-background-tasks-seem-to-be-broken
multiple waits, where it took more than 6 months for my ability to open the trash to be restored: https://help.tenderapp.com/discussions/problems/77244-latest-bug-cant-open-trash
I understand things sometimes slip through the cracks, but this is starting to feel like par for the course at this point, and it makes me worry about what will happen if something more critical than the trash stops working. Is supporting Tender still a priority for ENTP?
