Email customisation.

Hi.

I am the CEO and founder of Caramel Cloud and we are using Tender for our support requirements. I am loving it so far but there are a couple of problems I have been unable to solve. When we send out replies to our customers, I’d like the from field to say “Caramel Cloud Support” instead of the name of the person who sent the reply.

Furthermore, I’d like to be able to get rid of all the cruft Tender puts in outgoing emails by default, including the “reply with #ignore to stop receiving notifications for this discussion” message. This is not a mailing list and we usually send no more than a single reply to any customer, so they really need not find out that this is a “discussion” that they can unsubscribe from.

We’d like it to be like a simple email-to-email exchange for the user and use Tender only for our own requirements of organising the support team and ensuring that we get to all incoming emails without stepping on each other’s toes.

Please let me know if either of these things are possible. Thank you.

  1. It will always come from a user. You could have your staff rename their user profiles, or have a specific account you use for sending out from with that name.

Depending on if you are a user or staff, the email template text is different. You can create custom mail templates in your settings and make some adjustments from the defaults, but the unsubscribe link users get is not optional. We were forced to implement it to counter a wide number of spam complains, all from very valid Tender instances across accounts.
