Hello,

in the course of our own software release and update, we need to change many snapshots of our doc in the tender KB.
The update of all images in the tender KB can be a bit tedious because there is apparently no simple way to update such a resource without changing the UID (unique identifier) which appears in the url of the resource. So for example if an image (or any other resource) is used in 2 pages of our tender KB we currently must:

  • go to the first page
  • upload the new resource (it is not clear of for me what happens if the both images have the same name)
  • remove the link(s) in the page
  • insert the new image (for each occurrence)
  • go to the other page using this updated image
  • remove the link(s) in the page
  • insert the new image (for each occurrence)

If it would be possible to update the file directly from the drawer, ideally, all these steps could be simplified to only one:

  • update the "file" in the file drawer

Of course if there is already such a simple way, let me know

    Christophe -

Unfortunately, that is the way to update the images at this time. Improving the file management is on our list for future development but it is a ways out at this time.

    Thanks,
    Nicole

    Thanks for your quick answer,

an additional related question: is there a REST API to at least get the resources available from the "files drawer"?
(this would allow me to compare this list with the list of all referenced resources in our KB to identify old no more used such resources)

    Hey Christophe,

You can just use http://intuiface-presentation.tenderapp.com/assets.json while logged in (it's not an API endpoint). There is pagination (100 per page is the default), so you can use page=X and per_page=X.

    Hope that helps.
