Is it possible to permanently close / lock a thread but not delete it?

Hello,

I wanted to know if it was possible to close a thread from further input / discussion, so that even the creator of the thread would not be able to post and "unresolve" the issue.

Thank you,

Mike@Shopify

Not yet, but definitely on our list as is split a thread functionality.

Keep in mind that threads do sort of autolock if they are marked as resolved. Once you resolve a thread, only support members and the original author can post issues (and reopen) the thread.

Yeah but the original authors can (and will) come back and "unresolve" the issue by saying "thanks" or "btw... i have this completely different thing (that would deserve a new thread)", so even after splitting nothing prevents them to come back to the first thread and unresolving it, right?

Not sure if you caught the first sentence, but we do still plan on adding a manual lock on threads.

Great. I skipped the word "as" when i was reading the first sentence. Good stuff.

No updates yet. It's still sitting in our new features queue.

    Still on the update list?

This and the ability to move a comment into its own discussion is pretty basic and pretty critical functionality.

Is there an ETA for this?

No updates yet. Still on our list, but no work has been done towards it.

I notice that this issue hasn't had any further discussion but the LH ticket is closed. Does this mean it is implemented and will be released soon or that it isn't going to happen or ????

At the moment, we don't have any form of locking feature on our roadmap. I'll bring your request back up with the team though.

    Hello

I notice that some discussions on Tenders own site, have the following:

Is this coming for for the rest of us?

Hey smorr, it's not really a feature. Depending on if you're logged in to tender or not, or communicating email, discussions can be reopened.
