Confusion over Unclaimed Discussions
Good morning,
There has been some confusion in our office over who receives "unclaimed" Tender discussions.
Several of our support staff members receive a notification via their business email that they have received and unclaimed discussion, but when they log in to Tender to respond via Tender they cannot find the question. The question does not show up when searched by keywords, subject, username, email, etc.
Can you please define what an unclaimed discussion is, and why it gets sent to certain people and not others? The support staff receiving these emails are not our primary assistants so it seems odd that they would be receiving the notifications.
Any clarification you can provide is much appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance,
Ashley

Hi Ashley,
It's a setting in your profile; you can elect to receive the emails or not. (Click your name in the top nav)
Unclaimed discussions are when someone starts a discussion without logging in. So they go to your site and enter the email address associated with an existing account and make the discussion, but don't actually log in. (Sometimes they do eventually, which is probably why you can't find them). It's a security feature to prevent someone, say, pretending to be another customer, but without blocking lazy users from opening a discussion from their phone where they may not have the password.
All discussions should show up in 'pending' upon creation.
Hope this helps!
