Discrepancies in Reports between Staff Responses and Staff Performance (Weekly)
Hello from Heather at Coradine Aviation,
Our staff performance directly influences their pay, so when a team member pointed out that he'd been tracking his performance in the Weekly Staff Responses section and noted that there is a big difference from what shows in the Staff Performance section, I had to admit that I didn't know why they were different. Please see results for Kenny Wong for the week of September 26 through October 02, his Staff Responses is showing 129, and his Staff Performance is showing 92. How are each of these calculated, and why is there a discrepancy of 37?
Thanks so much,
Heather

There are a few possibilities. I'll have to confirm, but I believe one report is initial responses only (reply #1) vs all comments.

Thanks for looking into this Courtenay. From our experience, the staff performance numbers seem to be based off all comments, as we can see the numbers go up each time we reply to a discussion, regardless if it is initial response. The Monthly totals in Staff Responses seems to show a higher number, which wouldn't make sense if it were only supposed to be showing initial responses. Additionally, if you view the Weekly totals in Staff Responses and add up the totals for each day of the given week, it does not match the totals for that week in the Month view, but it does match the totals in Staff Performance.
Let me know what you find out!
Cheers,
Heather

OK, so the reason is because of the display format. Basically, weeks do not smoothly line up with the calendar month. October 1 and 2 are in the 'next' month but in the same week as Sept 26.
It's probably best for him to look at the "week" view for weeks that involve two months.
