just having a custom logo requires a $49 a month account?? really?
hello. i am currently in the trial. its kinda confusing knowing what feature requires which account plan. but, now that i added a simple logo graphic, it appears that qualifies as "custom branding." i just wanted to clarify; is that is right?
if so, i find that to be kinda... drastic. i mean, i ONLY want to have a graphic logo. thats it. i dont need to customize every css detail (i dont have the time or the knowledge, honestly). i mean, the image isnt even hosted on your server. so, it seems just for that one typical small detail (that a primary competitor includes for the same price as your basic account) - i have to pay an extra $360 a year??
sadly, for me, and my mini-sized budget, that is basically a show-stopper. i think your service is the best, but simply linking to a custom logo is a requirement. is that something that is coming in the near future to the basic account? i totally understand why access to css customization requires a higher fee. but, its just a logo! please??

At this point in time the ability to set a custom logo is part of the css customization options and therefore it's required to upgrade.
We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but right now we don't have any plan to change that.
In comparison to other options which allow for custom UI/logo usage in our market our pricing structure is extremely competitive.

sorry to hear that. and, just to correct you - get satisfaction gives you a custom logo at varied sizes AND color customization with their $19 a month option. i highly recommend you re-consider as your assessment seems to be quite off. thanks for the reply.

Indeed, they do offer a $19 plan now, which includes a custom logo and basic customization options, but it's also missing many of the features our basic plan does option. That $19 plan is also fairly new, as they used to start at $99.
It's possible at some point we may make the logo it's own feature, but right now it's built into the customized css feature so it's something that requires an upgrade. It would be hard to give an answer on how likely it is to change, and the ETA wouldn't be for quite some time.

Hey there, if you love getsatisfaction so much ... ;) As you both
say, a simple logo upload would be a nice feature for smaller plans.
We do have to draw the line somewhere, however, I'll add the
suggestion to the planning pipeline; for now, it's either use the
custom CSS feature or go without a logo.

haha! actually, though... you make a good point. and, after more research and thinking on the topic, i still do think for $19, just the addition of linking to a logo is pretty fair. however, i want to redact my short-minded reply to will - at the $49 level, to offer full css customization i would say is extremely competitive.
being a graphic designer, a visual branding element, as simple as a single 100x100px logo, is of utmost importance. however, so is anonymous posting, which is a deal breaker elsewhere. so my ultimate conclusion is - i will just wait until i have the need/income where the $49 option makes sense for me. honestly, i havent even launched my first software product yet, and it is a simple one - so, though your tool is exceptional, technically i dont even have a need for it yet. but, your service is so good and so attractive, i guess i just got into a "i want what i want, and i want it now" tiff. apologies for that.
i will certainly keep checking in to see how your service develops. and, if suddenly there was a simple logo integration i would likely sign up for the basic account. as of now, i think i will start out with a form generating/managing service. sadly, the service i am looking at is not really built with customer care in mind, but we'll see how it goes. hopefully, i outgrow it quickly :-)
thanks for the attention. good luck with your service! glad to see an alternative in this important budding area. as a micro-sized company, what you off is pretty indispensable (and as a designer, i think its very nicely put together!).

I was looking for this option too, can't afford to upgrade at this point. However, I don't have anything in the custom CSS box, and yet when I go to the plans page in the admin section, I see the indicator on the custom CSS box for the Plus package. Is there any way to find out what I'm going to lose or that I need to get rid of since I only have the Basic package?
Thanks
