Website Widget with Multipass

First we integrated our site with Multipass, which appears to work correctly. However, we then REALLY liked your website widget and integrated it, but quickly noticed that the multipass integration no longer works from within it. Is there any way to get the single sign on integration working within the website widget??

  1. Hey Nathaniel.

    We use the SSO options our our widget for Lighthouse. I'll pull the source code real quick and see what we did to get that working. Odds our it was implemented and someone forgot to update our documentation to help users get that working.

  2. Ok, so here is how it's done one our end for the SSO with the widget.

    <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8">
        Tender = {
        <% if logged_in? -%>
          sso: "<%= escape_javascript(current_user.multipass) %>",
        <% end -%>
        }
      </script>
      <script src="http<%= :s if request.ssl? %>://yourapp.tenderapp.com/tender_widget.js" type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script>

  3. Awesome. Thanks Will. I'll try to integrate it tonight and let you
    know how it goes.

  4. Would you mind posting the details of current_user.multipass ? I'm using the tender_multipass gem and haven't located the correct calls to generate the secure hash - I'm guessing a secure hash judging by the source on lighthouse...

  5. Ahh .. part of the issue looks like there was a code change in the tender_multipass gem which made the Tender::MultiPass.backend default to :hash (unencrypted backend) rather than :encrypted, if I'm reading the current plugin correctly.

  6. I switched to the multipass gem on GitHub under ENTP, switched out my SSO integration and it works just fine. Thanks, Will.
