Multiple products, one Tender?

Is a single Tender account meant to work with just a single product/project? I'm wanting to use it to start accepting feedback from users (and beta testers) of my iPhone apps, and it would be nice to at least organize everything by product.

Yes, it's intended for one per product; otherwise people have to scroll down this big list of products and categories. However, if you want to burden your users, you can do this yourself with categories like

    • Product1: bugs
    • Product1: suggestions
    • Product2: bugs
    • Product2: suggestions

We did this with Lighthouse and Warehouse, and there were too many categories.

In future, we're definitely planning on having a multi-site dashboard where you can see issues from multiple Tender sites.

A multi-site dashboard sounds cool. But am I correct in my understanding that 1 Tender site will == 1 Tender account? Or no?

I think the 1 product=1 site relationship makes total sense for a single web-based app (which may or may not inter-relate with any other products), and obviously that's how you guys are using it. But it would be great for my customers if I could just point them to a single support site for the company, e.g. help.practicalmadness.com rather than help.ticktockapp.com.

yes you could conceivably use it however you want; set up the categories accordingly. However, there's nothing stopping you setting up 3 tenders and hosting your own "help.practicalmadness" that points users at one of 3 sites,

David: your point is very valid. I'm not sure how we want to handle that. One live example I can think of is the 37S forums. I'm almost of the opinion that it's extremely easy for you to setup a static page that linked to your various products' Tender sites. The dashboards that we plan to implement will likely be personal: 1) allowing customers to view their support requests across multiple sites, and 2) allowing support users to view their support requests across the company.

I just don't see why you guys aren't more serious about attracting the growing People With My Exact, Totally Hypothetical Need market segment. :)

Seriously though, I ended up just setting a Tender up for my first app and I'll deal with other stuff as it comes up.

Any idea yet what the pricing structure will be? I can't imagine that I'll have a problem funding one site per product, but would be good to know before I start putting together the site designs for my real App Store product in a couple months.

We're looking at around $20 / $50 / $100 per month depending on how many support users you have, etc.
