breadcrumbs in open ticket
Hello,
I use Tender every day and there's a usability issue that's been bugging me for a while now:
when I've got a ticket open in my queue and I've responded to it (whether it's just a comment or a comment and resolve) there is not one-click way to get back to my queue and see a refreshed list of my open tickets.
I've got my queue set to not show resolved tickets, and if I comment and resolve one, in order to get back to my queue I have to click on Admin up in the top horizontal menu, then click on my queue name. Or, I can use the browser back button then click on refresh to get a fresh view of the tickets I have left in my queue.
Both options cause extra clicks that are unnecessary. If the breadcrumb at the top of the ticket had a link back to my queue, I'd be in ticket heaven.
One click back to a refreshed view of my queue.
Can this be added to the breadcrumb functionality?
Thanks much!
Forest

This sorta highlights a problem in our UI that we need to fix. You can actually do what you're suggesting. In the queue list, you'll see a little pushpin icon. If you click it, it will pin a link to that queue to the top of the page and you're always one click away from your issue queue.

Thanks, Justin!
That's close to what I was talking about.
That push pin link gives me a drop down menu of tickets in my queue, but
still doesn't give me a way to get back to my queue with a refreshed view of
tickets in there (unless I'm missing something.)
I'll see if it will work for now...but there's something psychologically
rewarding to be able to go back to the standard queue page and see less
tickets in there, or see that all of them have been updated by me or other
team members (meaning that I have nothing left to do for the day.)
Hope you can get a better way to get back to a refreshed view of a queue
when you've finished with a ticket.
Cheers!

That drop down list should be a reflection of the queue you're working from (the one you'd go back to). Is there a compelling reason that you'd prefer to go back to the full page queue vs. a quick list of the same items? I'm not sure I'm convinced there is any added psychologically benefit given they're both the same list. One compromise would be to add an additional link in the pinned queue that is one click back to the bigger list.

Well, I'll try it out and see what comes up in real use of Tender with that
new queue list enabled for me.
One thing I notice by not being able to get back to the main queue page
easily is that I don't have access to any of the other menu items or queues
from a ticket view page.
If I want to check someone else's queue, which I do occasionally, I have to
click on the Admin link up top to get back to the inbox.
Also, I can't see the ticket was started in the mini queue list.
I'm not sure if either of those things are compelling enough though ;)
Adding an additional link in the pinned queue (or right next to it) that
would take me back to the queue page with one click would be great. If it's
in the pinned queue drop down that opens after you click on the pinned queue
link, you could just make the title of the queue a link that takes you back
to the queue...I actually tried that when I first saw the pinned queue menu,
thinking that that's what that queue title would do when I clicked on it.
Cheers,
Forest
