Custom CSS on the Admin Pages
Hi there,
I am in the process of writing custom css for a tender site. I have almost done with the normal pages, but haven't started on the admin pages.
For my customisation workflow, I just added a custom css stylesheet to my browser for the tender domain that I'm working on. I notice that everything looks good except the admin pages, which seem to use totally different measurements and layout than the public pages. We don't care about customising the admin pages, and right now they look really broken because my custom css is being applied to them.
My question is, once I apply my custom css to the site using the provided text form, will it also be applied to the admin pages? Is there a way to prevent that?
Thanks,
Evan

Hey Evan. We don't allow for custom CSS on the admin side of Tender. Anything you apply will not be used on the admin side once it's saved.

Fantastic. I just wasn't sure because I'm working locally at this point and applying my custom css to the whole domain.

Hi Will,
Another question that will help with my local development: is it fair to say that the exclusion of custom css rules is limited to http://our-tender-domain.com/dashboard and its subdirectories /dashboard/* ?
Are there any other urls I should be aware of where the custom css isn't applied?
Thanks,
Evan

Hey Evan, Yes, custom css is excluded in the admin area: /dashboard/*
The admin area and the embeddable widget should be the only urls where custom CSS doesn't apply.

And presumably /settings/* as well?

Yes, /settings/* and /extras/* (both are part of the Admin area.)
Sorry, missed those URLs earlier.
