Hey team. We are updating the multipass stuff for our Tender sites. Since we use subdomains for each user account, what should i insert into the Login and Logout fields in the settings page?

Thanks,
Chris

Hm. At the moment Tender only supports a single login and logout URL, obviously. The logout URL could certainly be specified as part of the multipass payload since that URL is only displayed for users with a logged-in session, but we can't really get away with multiple login URLs. Since those are displayed to non-logged-in users, we won't be able to identify them in order to provide a customized link. But...!

Let me ask you this: are all your users coming in via SSO? Because if so, the login URL becomes irrelevant as they are all dropped directly into your Tender without encountering it. Although we don't use Tender this way, providing a private Tender with SSO-only login is a popular request. At the moment Tender does not support this style of SSO very well, but we are working on it.

Do you think an SSO-only (no anonymous users or user-created accounts, just SSO via your app) solution would work for you if we allowed you to specify a per-user logout URL via multipass?

    Thanks and regards,

We still link to Tender from our blog, emails, etc so people would still get there from outside of the app. I guess the logout is most important.

I will have to forward this to Ilya, the developer working on the update.

Okay that's good to know, thanks Chris.

We have been working on a spec for SSO-only Tender sites, and knowing about your use case is very helpful. If Ilya has anything to add I'd like to know as well.

Not sure how to address the login issue though. Anonymous users will all see the same URL for login because they have no user account and no subdomain. Like I said, we're working on SSO-only feature, but that would only hide the signup link for anonymous visitors, not the login link.

I am going to wait for input from Ilya before moving on anything here.

    Thanks and regards,
