Pricing & Permissions
Hello, I'm wondering if you can assist,
I am looking to set up a new account with Tender Support. This would have around 8 Support Staff and 400 users.
Can I confirm that this cost would be $99.month and $20 per support staff? Would there be any cost for general users who are able to post questions?
The second questions relates to permissions. Is there a way that the tenderapp website can be secured so only people within my company can view the site? They would only be users and would only ask questions. I have amended the forum to private on my trial account, but users that are not registered can still view the knowledge base, I would like it so the public are unable to access this section,
Many thanks and any help would be appreciated.

Yes, we only charge for the support staff seats, there is no charge for customers/clients using the system. If you select the Ultimo plan with 8 support staff you'd pay $99 + $140 (1 support staff seat comes with the plan).
The answer to your second question is yes, you can set your account up to be private and only those with login credentials can access the site. If you go to http://knowledge-base-v10.tenderapp.com you'll see that the entire site is inaccessible without logging in. Let us know the link you're reaching where unregistered users are accessing/viewing your knowledge base and we'll take a look, but from here you've got everything set up correctly for the setup you're wanting.
Thanks,
Nicole

Thanks for all of the information Nicole :)
We'll continue to try this system out and will make a decision at the end
of the trial. Can you confirm if there is a way to pull all of the
information from the Web-app into a database or excel sheet?
Many thanks

We offer JSON exports of account data. JSON is a simple text format that allows to represent complex objects. You can open them in any text editor, or look at them in a specialized editor (http://jsoneditoronline.org/). We use JSON as a discussion is not quite flat and can't easily be represented with a CSV: there are comments, which have their own attributes. As a result, JSON is usually an intermediary representation of the data, to be used and imported into another system.
Hope that that helps.
Thanks,
Nicole

Cheers Nicole,
My last and final question...
I am looking at a lot of companies whom offer the same service as yourself
(I prefer the simplistic and user-friendly style TenderApp offers). I need
to present my findings to upper management for them to make a decision.
Can you provide a list of companies that use TenderApp?
My company is worried about pouring resources into TenderApp and then your
company not been around in five years time (always a possibility).
Obviously, they have looked at Microsoft's alternative and are aware of
the funds put in. If I can show them a list of reputable companies using
your web-app I'm sure it will put their minds at ease,
Many thanks

Hello,
Tender has been in the product field since 2009, so we're almost to our first 5 year mark and anticipate making it to 10 years without any issue.
We have a number of government agencies and private universities using Tenderapp, along with our sister app, Lighthouseapp.com. Though we are unable to identify them for privacy reasons, I can tell you that our clientele range from young start-up tech companies, to well-established MAC shops and retailers. Oracle was our customer since 2009 before recently (last month) turning to their own internalized data base after an acquisition and managerial change. Same with Adobe.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Best,
Brandi

Hello Brandi and many thanks for your (and your colleagues) informative
replies.
Is it possible that the trial can be extended? I am in the process of
building up the knowledge base and I have to present this to the board.
Unfortunately, they can not meet with me until the Thursday the 27th of
June. In the mean time, I will be the only one using the site and no one
else will have access. This is so I can build the knowledge base to show
them its ready to go.
Looking forward to your reply,
