I would like to see a free (or cheap) plan for one-person projects, because 19$/month seems too expensive for me (i'm poor student with a little side project :).

We've thought about it, but in all honesty we feel that Tender is extremely affordable compared to standard options. Most customer support applications we reviewed start at several hundred dollars a month and go up from there (with many going into several thousand dollars per month).
However, we do plan on coming up with a free version for open source projects in the nearish future.
