Open, not in a queue filter
I'm trying to sort through our open tickets and make sure things are tossed into queues where needed, but I'm finding that I'm looking at the same tickets over and over. Can we get a filter for tickets that are open, but not assigned to any queue?

Good idea.. We are thinking of making "in a queue" change state to "assigned". so then there will be two opens, open-unassigned and open-assigned.

That could work too, so long as there's some easy way to find issues that need to be sorted.

We recently deployed a fix that shows the label of the queue next to the issue name. Is this helping any? I'm reluctant to add any crazy magical state-switching as you throw things in queues, but might tie some sort of search like this when we get around to implementing advanced search (i.e. searching for things with a specific state, by a specific author, etc).

It does indeed help, I can see at a glance what has been sorted and what hasn't.
