We've got development plans to delete all spam in an account,
but for now if you have that happen again just let us know and
we'll be happy to clear things out for you.

I've added this discussion to our development ticket and when we
have it in active development we'll update this discussion.

Thanks,

I'm against deleting messages of a certain type: there is no
guarantee that amongst all spam messages with a link there isn't
one that is a false positive. Plenty of people post legitimate
messages with links across Tender.

I know 200 messages seems like a lot and maybe we should
increase the pagination to 100 or something. However, the point of
a spam folder is to look at it to make sure no message was marked
as spam that shouldn't be. I feel like Tender has gotten much
better over the past few months regarding accuracy of detection
between spam/ham, but no system will ever be perfect so there might
still be an occasional false positive, which depending on your
business and objectives may or may not be important.

That being said, it is sometime helpful to start fresh again and
I do want to provide a simple way to empty the spam folder. I just
haven't got to it yet.

Nicole attached the relevant ticket to this discussion, so
you'll be notified when we get to it.

Let me know if you have questions.

Julientag:help.tenderapp.com,2008-11-12:Comment/204252082012-11-07T06:10:24Z2012-11-07T06:10:24ZPlease allow auto-deletion of spam containing a web link.

You may be against deleting messages of a particular type but in
the meantime I've got another 130 spam messages to delete. They ALL
have a link in them, my website doesn't really need URLs in them so
it makes sense in my case, to have the option to delete these
massages automatically.

emolinatag:help.tenderapp.com,2008-11-12:Comment/204252082012-11-07T19:01:02Z2012-11-07T19:01:02ZPlease allow auto-deletion of spam containing a web link.

We're looking at ways to improve spam management and it's been

specially vigilant for messages from you Julien.

emolinatag:help.tenderapp.com,2008-11-12:Comment/204252082012-11-12T20:13:37Z2012-11-12T20:13:37ZPlease allow auto-deletion of spam containing a web link.

Hey emolina,

Just a quick update: we fixed the "delete spam" behavior so that
when you delete spam, they actually disappear from your spam
folder, and you don't get the same page reloaded with the same
messages you just deleted (that was quite a drag). We also
increased the pagination from 30 to 50, so it should make it faster
to skim through a lot of content.

We have a few other ideas, so I'll keep you posted when we make
more changes.

Julientag:help.tenderapp.com,2008-11-12:Comment/204252082012-11-13T00:09:15Z2012-11-13T00:09:15ZPlease allow auto-deletion of spam containing a web link.

That's great Julien!

emolina
