Splitting a topic

It would be great if we were able to break off one comment of a topic to create a new topic.

often times i'm finding that users will start with one issue and once it is resolved, just keep asking about new issues in the same thread (instead of starting a new topic).

Thanks for the feature suggestion. We've thought about this before. We're still looking for a simple way to provide this that doesn't make things more confusing to the users already participating in the thread.

cool cool. i use another app that does this and it affixes a note to the splintered post saying that it was originally part of post XYZ with a link back to it.

anyhow, not the most important thing in the word ...

    best,

    Another vote for this please.

I would be also good for admins/supporters to be able to create a new discussion as proxy for a user.

I agree this would be very useful. I'm finding myself doing this manually more than I care to, and it's hard to force users to submit one issue or questions at a time.

    Thanks
