tags for product stats
Hi,
I have the following recurring need: From time to time, my
product manager is interested in some synthesis about the issues /
needs / features discussed on our support site (ie tender).
The only way I have is to go through all recent discussions, note
somewhere (paper / excel file) the subject / component / features
involved in each discussion (and some of them could be very
long).
I think it would be very interesting to be able to tag the
discussions with one word tags, so that later on, I could get some
simple stats, counts, about these tags.
Tagging could occur at any time by the support staff, should be
based on predefined tags (to avoid creating inadvertently synonym
tags).
For the moment I imagine tags as a private mean (ie for the support only).
Nota: I just did some research on tender discussion about tags and I found the found several wing similar requests:
- a way to classify/tag tickets, for analytics/insight very very similar requirements
- Tags, Internal Tagging + Stats very similar too Tags on issues to be statistically tracked at a later point

Many people do indeed ask for tags. I'll add your vote to the ticket, and we'll consider this feature when looking at our roadmap.
