Speed things up!

The biggest thing you could do to improve Tender for me is to make the whole app respond more quickly.

Page loads are very slow. I'm not sure if that's over-stretched servers or too much latency on the network (I'm in the UK), but each request takes about 3 seconds to complete.

The app would be 100 times more usable if you could get those page requests down to under 1 second!

I suspect that a lot of this is due to the network lag or cold caches. Though, we are seeing some slow requests in the admin area due to the more complex queries. Thanks for the report.

Drew: I apologize if you just received a bunch of email replies to
your initial question. We had a bug in one of our notification
systems that only affected `help.tenderapp.com` (no customers). I've
already fixed the problem, so it shouldn't come up again.

I'd like to second this - Tender isn't sloooow but it certainly would be much more pleasant to use if it was faster.

From Boston [on a day where Tender is currently feeling "normal"] I see this timing going to help.tenderapp.com [which I'll use as a benchmark]. This is off 20mbit business class line with ~100ms of observed latency to help.tenderapp.com.

help.tenderapp.com: 1 second for HTML and CSS/~2 seconds full load

What does the lighter portion of the bars mean? Is that the time the request is waiting for Tender to start sending data?
