older version, but had to manually delete the green bits from the
"show changes" preview and copy & paste the red bits into the
article.

If we had to roll back many versions, it would take a long time,
if we wanted to keep the same Markdown formatting.

What I suggest is that you add a third link to the revisions
page in the dashboard: revert changes

This would create a new version that uses the saved content for
that version.

Surely this is an obvious use-case for this feature, and I'm
surprised it wasn't already there.

crazyskeggytag:help.tenderapp.com,2008-11-12:Comment/352032672014-11-06T21:12:05Z2014-11-06T21:12:05ZRoll back KB Articles

If you view the individual revision ('preview'), there's a link

just
"Latest version".

crazyskeggytag:help.tenderapp.com,2008-11-12:Comment/352032672014-11-06T22:52:03Z2014-11-06T22:52:03ZRoll back KB Articles

Kieran -

What KB was this? You should be able to go to the article
versions page and restore for any of the versions available.

Let us know.

click preview on the version you'd like to restore. If it says
"latest version" then you are in fact viewing the latest version.
Try previewing an older one.

Courtenay
