Custom Branding / CSS for Basic plan
Hello,
generally, the lowest 19$ plan ("Basic") is a great fit for the start of my new sites. We are currently only 2 persons (having the possibility to add another without paying more than double the price one is good though), I don't think we will need many discussion filters and the file space would probably be enough as well. 19$ is quite a bit for the start and we would surely consider other solutions as well, but Tender seems nice and it is surely worth it.
One thing that is very important for us though is custom branding - the possibility to make it look like just another section of our site through CSS. Okay, so you offer that on the "Plus" plan. The point is, that this is more than double the cost (49$) with all the features we don't need besides the custom branding. I think there is some kind of gap between these two plans, it is especially for low-end plans important to have a bit of variety.
So, I think to solve this there are quite a few options. For one, you could of course just include custom branding in the Basic plan. Maybe upping it to 24$ (which I would still consider paying, but not really much more for a small site), but I think 19$ is a good price point and you could get a lot more people to start using tender from the beginning. Or, you could stay with the current basic plan and just offer an addition for like 5$/month for which you get full custom branding. Another option would be to change the basic and the plus plan a bit (maybe make the basic even more low-end for just 1-2 person startups) and introduce a new plan between them to fill the gap.
That's just my suggestion to make your plans a bit more suitable for smaller sites. :)
Greetings,

Hey holder10. Thank you for the detailed feedback. Our plans and options are something we strive to keep as affordable as possible. The custom CSS makes up the bulk of the value of the $49 plan. It's an extremely tedious feature to support and maintain from our end and therefore it's placed at a higher value that starts on the $49 plan.
We'll probably add a custom logo and a few small template style tweaks to basic plans in the future without a full custom CSS option so it's a little more flexible.

Thanks Will, that's too bad. :/
The small template style tweaks you mentioned sound like they could be useful though. Can you get more specific about that? Is that something you just plan on doing in the future or is it on the roadmap for release in a few weeks/months?
Thanks,

It's just something we plan on for the future, it hasn't reached our current roadmap for development and there is no timeframe for when we'll start working on it.
