Filtered discussions are skewing my statistics/reports...
We have 2 email addresses collecting issues, and the second gets about the same number of automated messages from our server in a day as we get regular emails from customers. We have filtered out a series of them (the filter closes the issue then trashes it).
I'd like to be able to opt-out any filtered items from being reported on.
I thought about just deleting the item and not closing it first, but I'm assuming that would just distort my numbers in a different way.
Oh, and I love how it makes me look like the most productive staff member, since I am the account the filter runs as.. ;-)
Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,
The reports on the site are basically built to be a display of activity as a whole. It's not in the plans currently to allow customization for including/excluding specific items, but we are all ears about requests for deeper or more insightful ways to display the data.
As for specific inclusion/exclusion, your best path in the short term is to do that type analysis in Excel with the CSV data export.
Thanks,
Tim

Thanks Tim!
We are going to try and have the server not send all those emails we are deleting, seeing as we don;t seem to need them anyhow!
So, in a way we also fix the stats issue.
Filters do run as the main user though, and any any filters I run that close / trash tickets will skew results. If there was a way I could separate the filter data out of the view...
I understand I could use Excel, but I really don't like to, and honestly probably would never get around to it. Live updating reports are so much nicer ;-)
I'll think about showing the data in other ways. If I come up with anything i'll be in touch!
Cheers,
Dave
