Need "Comment and Re-open" button
Many times I'd like to add a comment to a closed discussion without re-opening it. Now I add the comment and hit the close link right afterwards.
It would be super cool if you had two buttons: "Comment" and "Comment and Re-open" just like you do when the issue is open: you have "Comment" and "Comment and Close".
The "Comment" button would have a consistent meaning: "add the comment but don't change the state of the issue".

You can add an internal comment to a closed discussion without reopening it.

Yes and we do that a lot. But if you want to add a public comment without re-opening it (ie, "just to let you know we had to re-deploy another fix for your problem" or "glad its working for you now") you have to open then close it again right away.

Tender does re-open the conversation if you make a public comment. Thank you for the suggestion. I am not sure what your individual work flow is like, but this is not a request we've had before. Are you getting multiple instances of having to re-open previously closed discussions every day? At the risk of seeming facile, is it possible to just adjust how quickly your support staff marks an issue as closed?

Yeah really it's not even that big of a deal. It's a pretty common thing to do for us. An issue is closed, no further action is required, but I'll add another comment to the user which is usually responding to their thank you, or I might come back with some updated info much later.
All it means is that I add the comment, then close the issue again. I just thought I'd mention it because another person here was saying the same thing.

I'll mention it to the team. Thanks for your feedback. We appreciate it!
