Publicly viewable, but prevent other users from posting?

Hi Tender,

It would be extremely helpful if there was an option to make a discussion viewable to the public, but only allow the user who created it to respond (and staff of course).
Due to the nature of our support, we end up splitting any replies into new discussions of their own all the time, and so have subsequently turned off. (Also because a reply by another customer still bumps the discussion to the end of the list, so if our support queue is high, a hot topic may go days before receiving a reply, causing a lot of frustration on both ends.)

We'd love to offer the public option again, as many users do find it very helpful, but it has become a hinderance to our operation without additional controls.

Also, private attachments in public discussions would be a valuable too.

Tender is great in general though!
Love the new Echo templates -- makes it very easy to standardize replies throughout our staff. The addition of specific supporters has worked out well also, quickly replacing our custom queues for each staff member.

Cheers,
Tom

    Tom,

I don't see us making a change like this in the future, because it seems like it's redundant of our existing Knowledge Base feature.
