visible currently. When I click the "Translate to EN" button, I can
see both... Are you not seeing the original as well?</p>
<p>As for a pulldown when there are multiple languages to choose
from, either that or multiple buttons (i.e. Translate to EN ES DE)
for items that have multiple options is likely. Having buttons to
translate to multiple languages at once is also something we're
happy to consider.</p></div>Timtag:help.tenderapp.com,2008-11-12:Comment/72853872011-05-18T19:23:27Z2011-05-18T19:23:27ZTRANSLATE TO EN button<div><p>I do see both sets of text when I hit the TRANSLATE button, but
what I meant was that I wanted it to be <em>"sticky"</em> in that
the translation stays there for the duration so next time you come
back to that discussion item, both are still displayed. Plus, you
would have the ability to add yet another translation to that same
item if needed.</p>
<p>The reason I'm thinking this would be useful is that our
translator would be able to quickly see all text in each
translation and could then edit and save any auto-translation that
was not 100 percent accurate. That's why they need to be sticky to
that translation fixes can be made and "stick around', as opposed
to relying on automatic translation every time around. I suppose
you could keep the ability to always re-automatically translate as
needed.</p></div>petertag:help.tenderapp.com,2008-11-12:Comment/72853872011-05-18T21:17:54Z2011-05-18T21:17:54ZTRANSLATE TO EN button<div><p>Ah, I follow now. I'll add this to the list for review for sure.
I have to see if that impacts the db structure (and how the
translation is retrieved in the first place, and if it's easy to
store it once done). Thanks for the clarification!</p></div>Timtag:help.tenderapp.com,2008-11-12:Comment/72853872011-05-18T21:51:28Z2011-05-18T21:51:28ZTRANSLATE TO EN button<div><p>It's actually a translate to (whatever locale you're in). You
can<br>
select the locale with the links in the footer.</p>
<p>The translation should stick around for non-english locales.
For<br>
example if you view the page in german or something else it will do
a<br>
google translate on the discussion and translate it to German.</p></div>Courtenay
