Search in company apparently does not work

Hi -

On our site, we have use companies to partition our users.
We just realized that, when we added new members to a company, the new users can see the previous discussions for this company, but, if they SEARCH the previous discussions, they cannot find any matching discussions that they are not a "watcher" on. This severely limits the utility of the search feature.

Is there a way for us to get this working?

Interesting. But they can search discussions created after they were added to the company?

    Hi Courtenay -

I guess that I noticed the problem when new members were added to the company. But the real issue is that the SEARCH will only match if (1) search terms match a given discussion AND (2) the person is a watcher on the given discussion. (1) is expected, but (2) is a bummer.

And to answer your question directly, YES, if they are a watcher on the potentially found discussion.
