How do I add a video to a Tender knowledge base article?

A short video can explain a feature better than a page of text. Put the video on a video site such as YouTube or Vimeo, then paste its embed code into your article.

Embed a YouTube or Vimeo video

  1. Copy the video's embed code:
    • YouTube: under the video, click Share, then Embed, and copy the code.
    • Vimeo: click the Share icon on the video and copy the code under Embed.

The code is an <iframe> tag, something like:

   <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/VIDEO_ID" title="Setting up recurring tasks" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  1. In the dashboard, open the article (Knowledge Base, then the article's title) or create one with Create an Article.
  2. Paste the code into Content where you want the video, on a line of its own with a blank line before and after it.
  3. Click Preview article below the editor to check it, then save.

A video file you host yourself

If the video is an MP4 file on your own website, use a <video> tag instead:

<video controls src="https://www.example.com/videos/recurring-tasks.mp4"></video>

controls gives readers the play button, volume and full-screen controls.
